How far can you go in a Mach-E GT?
On paper, the 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT does 500 km on a full battery. On the road it's less. With normal driving I often get about 350 km, and about 400 km if you drive economically.
Why it's less than 500 km
That 500 km comes from the WLTP test, a fixed test drive under the same conditions every time. On the road, the temperature and your speed matter most. In the cold, power goes to the heating and the battery delivers less. On the motorway, air resistance costs a lot more energy than in the city.

What EV Database calculates
EV Database, an independent database of electric cars, estimates how far you get with this car in practice:
| Driving | Mild weather, 23 °C | Cold, −10 °C |
|---|---|---|
| In the city | 595 km | 415 km |
| Mixed | 465 km | 350 km |
| On the motorway | 375 km | 295 km |
On average, EV Database arrives at about 400 km. I get that too when I drive economically. With normal driving I usually end up around 350 km. Those 487 hp do tempt you to accelerate hard, and then the battery runs down faster.
What that means when you rent it
You get the car fully charged. A day trip to the Zeeland coast or to Antwerp and back is possible on one charge, in winter too. Do bring it back with at least 25 per cent, as SnappCar asks for that. In winter that gives you about 225 km before you need to charge.
The rental includes 100 km a day. If you drive more, you pay €0.35 per extra kilometre. That's separate from charging.

Charging on the road
At a rapid charger, the Mach-E GT charges at up to 150 kW. Ten minutes gives you about 100 km, and going from 10 to 80 per cent takes about 45 minutes. You pay for charging on the road yourself. For ordinary charge points there's a charging cable in the car. You can read how charging works and what it costs on the help page.
